The Poty Quarry is similar to northeastern Mexico sections in that both contain typical Tethys planktic foraminiferal assemblages and an {\textquoteright}event{\textquoteright} deposit (siliciclastic and breccia deposits) stratigraphically below the K/T boundary (Keller and Stinnesbeck, 1996b)</p>
