During the last decades, Egypt became a focal point for studying the climate and paleoenvironmental changes during the late Paleocene early of Eocene that is known as the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM). This chapter sheds light on the climatic and paleoenvironmental changes recorded from the Egyptian sedimentary record, based on: biostratigraphy, sedimentology, and geochemistry.
